The History of Connections for Kids
Connections For Kids was founded in 1996 by a former foster parent who saw a great need for short-term residential placements for children in the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services. The goal was to limit the number of placements a child would have to make before they found the right home and we specialized in keeping sibling groups together.
Originally called Foster Family Connection, Connections for Kids has grown from a single residential program to a complete mental health and educational based agency providing a continuum of care to families, children, youth, and adults. Kids Free to Grow is an affiliate of Connections for Kids.
Our agency focuses on providing children and families with necessary skills-based therapy and education to help them successfully live happy lives.
