We are seeking experienced individuals to join our Behavioral Health Professional team who want to positively impact the lives of Maine children and families! Portland Kids Academy is a special purpose school serving grades K-6 that provides behavioral support services to students who have a mental health diagnosis that includes conduct disorders, anxiety and PTSD. As a BHP for Connections for Kids you will work alongside a licensed clinician and school personnel to provide support, behavioral management skills and treatment plan implementation for our small group of students. This is a full time position in South Portland, Maine and the school year includes a modified 6 week summer program.

Our Residential Youth Counselors provide daily structure and care for the children and work to provide support, behavioral management skills, crisis intervention and a constructive environment to help them fulfill their potential and set them on a path for success.
School Based Day Treatment Behavioral Health Professional (BHP)

A Behavioral Health Professional is a Bachelor’s level position working one on one with a special education student in the public school system. BHPs work under the supervision, support and guidance of a licensed, Masters level counselor providing behavioral, emotional and education support to the student as they move through their school day. BHPs work closely with school staff to help students find success in school and better reach their potential in accessing their public school education.

A Behavioral Health Professional is a Bachelor’s level position working one on one with a handful of students across a geographic region, providing behavioral support, treatment plan implementation and community based programming to children and families with a mental health diagnosis. BHPs work under the supervision, support and guidance of a licensed, Masters level counselor providing behavioral, emotional and education support to a child within the context of their home and their community.

We are seeking amazing individuals to join our well established Section 28 Team who want to positively impact the lives of Maine children and families! Our Section 28 team supports children with Autism, Asperger’s and other developmental delays to gain the skills needed to be independent in their homes and communities. You will be working one-on-one with children and families as an essential member of the treatment team, helping them build daily living, social, communication, and safety skills.
