Anyone who needs CPR/FA and has completed the online Red Cross Blended learning content can sign up for this Skills Session. Those who email me a copy of their completion for the online part get priority for the Skills Session. 12 max. See info below on how to access the online portion of the course.
The American Red Cross has created a blended learning course for CPR/FA/AED which we are now using at Connections for Kids. Here are a few things you will need to know in order to take your next CPR/FA/AED course….
The entire class content is still about 6 hours in total. About 4 hours of it is now online. You will do the online portion just as you would for any online class….when it is convenient for you to take it, and you are due for the course.
The remaining 2 hours of the course is called the Skills Session. It is taken in person, in a classroom-like (office) setting with a Connections for Kids, Red Cross certified trainer. You can find various locations and dates for the Skills Portion on the agency training calendar. Contact Gregin Doxsee (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you need help accessing the training calendar.
Please note: You will not find the online portion in Relias. Relias will act as your transcript and show that it is either complete or past due, but you cannot access the online portion through Relias.
In order to take the on-line part of the class, you will need to go to the following link:
Please do NOT be on the server when you take the online part of this course. If you are using a Chromebook, Google Chrome is recommended, vs Internet Explorer.
You can reach me at 207-854-1030 ext. 1006 or by emailing email@example.com if you have any questions. Thank you!
